sector in Pakistan.
In addition to academic work, persons selected for
Fulbright programs are expected to share information

colleagues and with community groups in the U.S.

Generally, applicants with 16 years of formal
education should apply for the Master's; those with
18 years of education should apply for the Ph.D.

most appropriate by USEFP.
Additional requirements?
The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is required
for all applicants. Applicants must register to take
the GRE before June 15. Applications received by

preference. On the GRE, a minimum score of 300

a higher score on the section most applicable to
your field of study. Applicants must also possess a
high level of fluency in spoken and written English.
Short-listed applicants will be required to take the

return to Pakistan immediately after their program
in the U.S. and serve the country for the number

program. This contract is redeemable on a yearfor-
year basis after returning to work in Pakistan,
so that as long as a person fulfills the service
requirement, he or she will pay nothing.
